The Foundation

Initially thought had been given to establishing a Foundation solely in Peter’s name but given the enduring nature of Peter and Dojean’s marriage and their devotion and dependency one upon the other, it seemed to be more appropriate that the Foundation bear both of their names. There was a certain ephemeral quality associated with Peter’s vision of life. To that end he discouraged any idea that his garden, springing as it did from his own imagination, might survive him. It was, as Peter would say, a matter of philosophy. As it turns out Waterfall Plaza and garden are still very much in evidence. They are simply under new management. Also most vividly Peter’s exquisite photography has survived him. Peter also talked frequently about doing more with his photography. The establishment of the Foundation is to do exactly that.
